About me

Lucy Betts is a freelance Director and workshop facilitator with a particular passion for Actor-Musician work. She won the 2022 OFFIE for Best Director (Plays) for her production of Lone Flyer at Jermyn Street Theatre.

Lucy is a Creative Associate at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury. In 2018 she was part of the Mid-Career Development Programme at Chichester Festival Theatre

Lucy is Resident Director of ChewBoy Productions.

In 2020 Lucy collaborated with several skilled colleagues to set up Prologue Youth Theatre Company in Guildford, Surrey. They provide high-quality workshops to help young people develop their creative, social and personal skills. 

 

She has also written for young performers – including musical adaptations of Just So StoriesThe Secret Garden and The Railway Children.
